The last five being here at GEMS Winchester School Abu Dhabi. She started her teaching career in the Seychelles where she got my firsthand experience at dealing with behaviour issues among teenagers when she served as the secretary for the policy-making committee, hence her passion for pastoral care for students.
While at GEMS WSA, she has undertaken many professional development courses and has since assumed the role of Middle Leader in the position of Year 9 Leader. She strongly believes that the development of children’s social and emotional skills form an integral part of their growing mind, hence she always focus on the teaching of values as well as incorporating the 21st century skills to help children achieve outstanding academic standards and grow emotionally. Madina knows this cannot happen successfully unless students feel happy, safe and secure. She enjoys her role as a year leader as it gives her the chance to guide and help students at WSA prepare for the transition from KS3 to KS4. In her capacity as year leader, she have the rare opportunity to nurture herstudents’ well-being both emotionally as well as academically. To see her students strive to be the best they can and excel, for their success.
